Celebrating 50 Years Of Branding Excellence Celebrating 50 Years Of Branding Excellence Over the past fifty years Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide has helped build some of the most recognizable brands in the world, with some of the most memorable campaigns in advertising: "Good to the last drop," "The Great American Chocolate Bar," "The Fabric of our Lives," "Nothing Tops The Copper Top," "Made with 1/4 moisturizing cream," and "Don't Leave Home Without It." To celebrate its 50th anniversary O&M's 377 offices in 97 countries around the world united to commemorate 50 years of inspiring work. From a Swing era gala at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, to agency blood drives in Barcelona and Prague, to a charity art function to benefit the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund in Johannesburg, O&M offices around the world celebrated. O&M also brought the Internet to its half-century celebration. It's OgilvyOne Interactive affiliate in Paris developed a special "Cyber Party" Web site to link offices and staffers around the world.

The Atlanta office threw a party at their offices in The Grand, attended by approximately 400 guests, including local O&M staff, clients, and industry leaders. O&M Atlanta's Red (Ogilvy's corporate color) & Gold (for 50 years) Celebration featured 50 years of advertising milestones, an array of brilliant red and gold foods, and an employee scavenger hunt in search of answers to clues regarding famous O&M client brands.

The celebration honored the creative ingenuity behind O&M's branding techniques, which began in 1948 with David Ogilvy's flair for crafting effective and unique methods of adverting. Ian Latham, Managing Director of O&M Atlanta, said, "For 50 years Ogilvy & Mather has grown based on a fundamental belief in the power of brands; a belief instilled and nurtured by our founder David Ogilvy." Today, O&M continues to push the envelope much like David Ogilvy, as it delivers the ultimate promise of brand stewardship, the 360 Degree Brand: consistent communication with consumers at every point of contact.
