Oasis Busy Recording Oasis Busy Recording Oasis Recording taped an automated dialogue replacement session with Actor Blair Underwood for the film "Asunder," a suspense thriller written by Eric Bowers, produced by Tim Reid and Dick Atkins, and co-executive produced by Underwood and Daphne Maxwell Reid. The $2 million film, co-starring Underwood and Debbi Morgan, is the story of two married couples who are friends, and whose lives are shattered when on of the wives dies in a bizarre accident. The film was shot in Petersburg and Richmond, Virginia by Obsidian Productions. Foreign rights to the film have been sold, and the filmmakers are currently investigating the film festival circuit.
Oasis also finished audio post production on five of Little Mammoth Media's Big Adventure SeriesĘ educational home videos. The Big Train Trip, The Big Aquarium, The Big Newspaper, The Big Air Show, and The Big Hotel are the newest of this collection of award winning children's documentaries aimed at six to eleven year olds. The Big Adventure programs are a combination of live action footage, graphics, animation, narration, sound effects, and original scores. Music scores were composed by James Oliverio.
Audio post production of the Big Adventure video was completed by Oasis Owner Bob Gillespie and Sound Engineers Brent Busby and Chris Stafford. One of their main goals was to create realistic sounds that would be as accurate as possible without sounding like cartoon effects. This was achieved using sound effects libraries and sounds that were recorded on location, which were then edited to picture in the post stage. Location sound and pre-recorded digital sound effects were also mixed together to achieve a fuller effect.
