WHOA! Have They Been Busy! WHOA! Have They Been Busy! WHOA! Films woos, wows, and wins in Atlanta. The result of hard work and fun became evident when TELLY awarded WHOA! Films with three statuettes for the Mercedes Plant Tour, J. Walter Thompson collaboration of "Bionic Melissa" and Bigelow & Eigel's concept for Access Atlanta. As the announcements from TELLY arrived, CINDY prized WHOA! with honors for Philips Speech Processing Technology and J. Walter Thompson joint efforts of NASCAR "Ford Domination" and "Bionic Melissa." WHOA! is currently competing in the international CINDY for all three projects.
WHOA! Films finishes first for J. Walter Thompson in four new Ford spots, all shot in two short days. WHOA!'s Bill Orisich, DP, and JWT's Ken Young, Creative Director, have blended humor with creativity for the eager car buyers. WHOA! Producer, Kevin Sargent, and Production Coordinator, Kris Johnson, kept the production on time, on schedule, and orderly. Bringing the project in-house, WHOA!'s Adrian Guedin on-lined the spots through the FLINT. Audio Specialist, Jon Philpot, blended fun sounds to create a car buying atmosphere on PROTOOLS. Brad Mace used SOFTIMAGE to reconstruct realistic signs and visual graphics. As the population of Southern Virginia awaits the arrival of the spots, the Atlanta audience finds many WHOA! spots available for viewing pleasure.
From cars to hotels to digital television to department stores to bikers, the previous months have put WHOA! in a state of creative euphoria. Two J. Walter Thompson Fall spots, featuring Ford Explorer and Expedition, provided a story for the beautiful Georgia wilderness. Bigelow & Eigel sent WHOA! to New York for the Homestead Village Urban Concept and upon return, commissioned them to make "TV the way it should be" for BellSouth Americast. "Be Amazed" with Uptons' new image concept. Experience shopping like never before through the eyes of WHOA!'s Orisich. Excitement captured WHOA! as effort, talent and time were volunteered for the March of Dimes' "Ride for Healthier Babies" spot. WHOA! gathered all volunteers including crew, talent, equipment suppliers, and bikers for a high quality production for a good cause. With special audio guest, Peter Fonda, the :30 PSA was a successful tool to bring bikers from all over the country for the fund-raiser.
