"Five O'clock Shadow" Makes the Circuit
"Five O'clock Shadow," directed by local filmmaker Traci Carroll and co-produced by Carroll and her partner, Brian Turner, was recently accepted to the 1998 Raindance Film Showcase in London. Raindance, called London's answer to Sundance, touts an international buyer's market. "Five O'clock Shadow" premiered June 13, 1998 at the Atlanta Film and Video Festival, produced by IMAGE. The film was well received at the festival, where a second show was added due to its popularity. "Five O'clock Shadow" was also included in the Atlanta Film and Video Festival's "Best of the Fest" showcase, which was shown at the Georgia Museum of Art Theater in Athens and at The Point in Atlanta. It made its European premier at Raindance at the Metro Cinema. Screenings after Raindance include festivals in Baltimore, Maryland, and Urbana, Illinois.
