Triple Horse Swings Triple Horse Swings Hoping to win back old fans and entice a younger viewing audience once the NBA returns to action, Turner Sports and Turner Sports' Coordinating Producer Howard Zalkowitz tapped Triple Horse Productions to put a high energy spin on an opening and graphics package for its NBA coverage. Working with Turner Sports and a crew of 50, Triple Horse transformed the Fox Theatre's Egyptian Ballroom into a swing dance club complete with truss and dance floor. Multiple cameras, 26 swing dancers, 100 extras, and the original music of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy brought the stage to life. Also working with Zalkowitz were Producers Scott McGrath and Craig Berry. Creative Design for the project was concepted by Skot Linder of Turner Sports and Pat McNeely of Turner Production Effects. Other project members included Triple Horse Producer John Hembree and Director Karl Horstmann. Jerry Pece served as AD., Director of Photography responsibilities were handled by Ian Forsyth, and Shop Crafts' Rick Morganelli served as on set Art Director. Turner Productions' Ken Horstmann will be handling off-line and on-line editing. Other recently completed NBA projects have included an opening and graphics package for the Miami Heat and a similar project with the Atlanta Hawks. Up next, Triple Horse Productions will soon begin work producing and directing a documentary involving several high profile NBA and NFL players.
