Women in Film/Atlanta Goes Hollywood Women in Film/Atlanta Goes Hollywood Women in Film Atlanta (WIF/A) is proud to welcome The Hollywood Film Institute back to Georgia. This year "How To Make A Movie" was scheduled February 20 and 21 at the Comfort Inn Downtown. The revolutionary film school launched the careers of both Spike and Quentin, and condenses four years of film school into two days. Recent graduates include: Kirk Jones, Director of the current feature "Waking Ned Devine," Phillippa Braithwaite, Producer of "Sliding Doors" with Gwyneth Paltrow, and Steven Norrington, Director of "Blade" with Wesley Snipes. The two day film school included the complete process of independent filmmaking from A-Z, with the addition this year of Digital Filmmaking.
On February 27, WIF/A held its Eighth Annual Bowling Event at Express Lanes. The event has become a local favorite, bringing together the film and video community to interact, to compete, and to socialize in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
