point b Benefits Boys & Girls Club point b Benefits Boys & Girls Club point b helped raise nearly $10,000 for the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club by sponsoring the Southern Resource Group Golf Tournament. The Southern Resource Group, a business resource organization founded by point b's Senior Vice President, Tom Major, organized the October 19th tournament at Northwood Country Club in Duluth. Over 70 golfers participated in the tournament, including Major and point b President Patricia Babuka. An instrumental player in organizing the tournament, point b created all of the tournament's promotional materials, including invitations, brochure and programs, and provided public relations support.
Jennifer Folkers was promoted to Assistant Account Executive. Folkers joined point b in August 1997 as Account Coordinator. With her new title, she provides account support for clients such as Eastman Kodak Company, Oldcastle, Inc., and Eka Chemicals. She is also responsible for managing the firm's public relations activities. Folkers' recent promotion follows a series of additions at the firm, including the hiring of Marketing Manager, Jeff Kallay. Kallay's 12 year career in graphics and marketing began at Lee College in Cleveland, TN where he was a recruitment coordinator for institutional advancement. While there, Kallay was responsible for admission and recruitment strategies and alumni relations. He worked for two years with DCI Digital Connectivity, Inc. where he was the Marketing Coordinator responsible for public relations, advertising, and trade show coordination. Kallay has also held positions with TR Digital Production, Station to Station, and The Media Group. Most recently he served as Account Executive at Nuvision Graphics where he was responsible for pre-press and print sales. At point b, Kallay's primary areas of responsibility include managing the firm's marketing activities, overseeing printing and production, and assisting with new business development.
