Duffey Communications has expanded Studio D, its in-house design and creative services division, with the acquisition of Russell Moore Design, Inc. The division has also gained two new clients and a new Studio D Manager.
Jim Cannata, former President of the newly acquired firm, serves as Duffey's Lead Designer. Cannata founded Russell Moore in the early 1990's and handled design work for companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, Major League Baseball, The NFL, BellSouth, Turner Broadcasting System, Floor Coverings International, Mattel, Inc., and Heidelberg USA. Russell Moore will assume the name of Studio D, a division of Duffey Communications.
Studio D added two new clients, Good Works International, LLC and Harbinger, Inc. Good Works International, whose principal is former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young, provides strategic business consulting services to corporations and governments operating in the global economy, most notably in emerging markets in Africa and the Caribbean. Studio D is working with Good Works International to develop focused brochures, a quarterly newsletter, and other marketing communications tools. Harbinger, Inc. is a worldwide provider of e-commerce software, services, and solutions for the supply chain management industry. Duffey has been retained to develop marketing collateral for the Catalog Solutions division of the company.
Duffey has also added Lauren Emerson as Manager of Studio D, directing production of print marketing collateral and advertising to online graphics, business presentations, and video. She comes to Duffey from her role as president of WordWorks, a commercial copywriting and editing service that worked with a variety of Fortune 500 companies including Turner Broadcasting. She has extensive production management experience as well from her tenure at Hi-Tech Color and Creative Services, a full service creative/pre-press agency, and from her role as Copy Chief for Turner Publishing.
Duffey Communications added Paul Ellen, former Cohn & Wolfe Group Director and Vice President, as Senior Vice President and Director of the firm's corporate and consumer services practice groups. Ellen brings 16 years of consumer, corporate, hospitality, and sports marketing experience to Duffey. His area of specialization includes corporate identity and image management, marketing communications, event marketing, media training, sales enhancement, and crisis communications. Success stories include promotional, event, and publicity initiatives for Marriott, Chick-fil-A, Turner Broadcasting, NFL Properties, and various destination resorts. In addition to his agency accomplishments, Ellen has worked extensively in radio and television as general manager and network director for Auburn Broadcasting and the Auburn University Sports Network.
