The Trumpet Awards, hosted this year by Debbie Allen and Kweisi Mfume, honor African American achievers in fields as diverse as law, medicine, politics, and entertainment. Xernona Clayton served as Executive Producer of the 90-minute ceremony, while Rick Kaplan, President of CNN/U.S., served as producer.
