Local Ad Pros and Sir Elton Tackle Homelessness
Sir Elton John and local ad pros have collaborated for a :30 TV PSA for Atlanta's Task Force for the Homeless. Use of the John and Bernie Taupin track, "House", was donated for a pro bono spot written and directed by Barrett Batson, executive produced by Danica Walker, shot by Dave Keisgen, and cut by Steve Cox of Outback Editorial. The spot, which follows a day in the life of a homeless mom and her two children, is running on metro stations. Batson stated that most people equate homelessness with being a bum, but the truth is that over 55% of Atlanta's homeless people are kids and their moms. This spot was designed to confront the stereotype and encourage people to help.
