T.P. Design Takes Notes for Music Festival T.P. Design Takes Notes for Music Festival T.P. Design Inc. was selected recently to design the Music Midtown Festival's promotional artwork. The African-American and female owned firm competed with 18 local and national artists to win the honor. Owner Dorothea Taylor-Palmer, Creative Director Charly Palmer, and Senior Graphic Designer Tracy McCutchion unveiled the poster during a March 3rd press conference in City Hall, where Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell and festival promoters Alex Cooley and Peter Conlon announced festival plans.
The multi-colored poster shows nine music eighth notes, each representing a different kind of music. For example, a disco note features a silver, glittering ball at the base of the stem, while the blues note sports sunglasses and plays the harmonica. In addition, T.P. Design will use the art to create a 20 page program guide and brochure for more than 200,000 festival goers.
