Crawford Hi-Def Future-Proofs Project Crawford Hi-Def Future-Proofs Project Crawford Digital and the FilmGroup, services of Crawford Communications, recently completed an 11 minute high definition video presentation for Hertz Corporation entitled "Beyond the Horizon." This project represents Crawford's most complex hi-def project to date. Hertz and their production company, 30fps, chose the hi-def post production path because they wanted to display the finished piece on a wide screen at the Hertz corporate headquarters in New Jersey. They also wished to "future proof" the production because the life of the presentation is expected to extend well into the era when high-resolution digital television becomes standard.
Crawford's Studio/two was recently the site for a three day shoot for The Black Crowes' new music video "Only A Fool" soon to be seen on MTV. The film shoot was produced by Moxie Pictures and directed by Al Yankovic. In the past year Crawford's entertainment industry work included several video and Internet projects for matchbox20 and their management company, Melisma.
Crawford Communications posts the first project ever fully completed in HD for National Geographic Television, the natural history documentary "Tempest From the Deep." To meet broadcast standards, Crawford down-converted the documentary for a recent airing on TBS. The documentary details El Nino's recent devastating impact to the kelp beds and seal population around the Channel Islands (located off the Southern California coast). The documentary was originally intended for NTSC post, but National Geographic Television chose to follow the HDTV post production path prior to the completion of production.
Crawford has re-launched its website. The new website gives an in-depth and interactive approach to Crawford's service areas and boutiques. Crawford's continued growth necessitated a website that is able to evolve and expand. Aside from adding more pages in the future, Crawford will be refreshing the website by constantly updating graphics, content, and recent projects to give guests a new experience every time they enter the site. Currently, there are industry related articles on the site and as new techniques and processes are developed, more postings will be added.
