New Business Cards at GCI! New Business Cards at GCI! Ken Willis will assume the newly created position of President, North America Operations, for GCI Group. Willis has served as President, GCI Group Atlanta, and Managing Director, North America Client Services. A former reporter and editor for The Atlanta Constitution with nearly 30 years experience in the communications industry, Willis founded GCI Group Atlanta in 1993. Since then, the agency has grown to be one of the top three PR firms in Atlanta. Willis will remain based in Atlanta.
Bill Marks, Executive Vice President, GCI Group Atlanta, will succeed Willis as Managing Director of GCI Group Atlanta. Marks has more than 20 years of communications experience, having served as Deputy Managing Director of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and in corporate communications for some of the world's leading corporations.
GCI recently promoted several employees and added new faces to the Atlanta office. All will work on an assortment of clients including BellSouth, United Way, Atlanta Gas Light Resources, and the American Cancer Society to name a few. Jennifer Ingram was named Vice President, Special Projects Director for North America. Ingram will focus her efforts on internal projects and made her career developing and managing programs for business to business and consumer clients. Ris Cowan is now a Vice President. Cowan has more that 14 years of experience in such areas as public relations, advertising, journalism, and corporate communications. Melissa Davis has been promoted to Senior Account Supervisor. Davis has received recognition from the Public Relations Society of America with a Phoenix Award for the BellSouth Corporation 1996 Olympic Games sponsorship program. Amy Price is now an Account Supervisor. Price's experience spans business to business, healthcare, and education. Frost Bush changed her business card recently to read Senior Account Executive. Bush has worked on a number of key accounts and recently joined the Healthcare division at GCI. Juliann Fritz is now a Senior Account Executive. Fritz works on several prominent telecommunications and corporate accounts and made her mark at GCI with media relations, program development, and event planning. Shelley Ward is also a new Senior Account Executive. Ward is particularly skilled in event planning, media relations, and creative writing. Three promotions to Assistant Account Executive include Carrie Booth, Jennifer Dunn, and Walker Alexander.
Two new Vice Presidents of GCI Healthcare are joining the team. Nancy Hood is an award winning writer and communicator. She will be in charge of a new specialty practice in animal health at GCI, including consulting on all GCI animal and veterinary nutrition clients worldwide. Lynn Klein specialized in constituency development advocacy relations and issues management. Klein's outstanding background in healthcare is evident through her previous work as president of her own consulting firm. Sha'Nia Dickerson is a new Account Executive for GCI and was previously an account manager with Crumbley & Alba. Kim Reuss joins as an Assistant Account Executive and is a recent graduate of Rutgers. Kelly McGuire, currently an intern, will start a new position as an Account Coordinator along with Elizabeth Ledbetter, who will be part of the Atlanta technology team. Rodney Carmichael rounds out the line up as a summer intern.
