Hubbell Biting the Big Apple Hubbell Biting the Big Apple After five years at IMAGE Film & Video Center, Executive Director Anne Hubbell has announced her plans to depart the organization. Hubbell will stay at IMAGE for the 23^rd Annual Atlanta Film & Video Festival, June 12-20, and through the summer to assist with the transition. The IMAGE Board of Directors will commence a national search for Hubbell's replacement in July.

"The terrific staff and Board of Directors at IMAGE and the entire Atlanta media art community have made my tenure here very rewarding, and I will be sad to leave," Hubbell says. "But, I am looking forward to the new opportunities that a city like New York offers." Hubbell and significant other, Andrew Mitchell are moving to New York City. Mitchell has been named the new Marketing Director of CNN/Sports Illustrated Interactive, which operates the web sites for Sports Illustrated and CNN/SI.

Hubbell joined the IMAGE staff in March of 1994 as Programming and Festival Director, and was named Executive Director in July of 1996. Under Hubbell's direction, organizational earned revenues have increased from 20% to 65%, attendance at the Atlanta Film & Video Festival has more than tripled, and IMAGE has grown to be a vital force in the Atlanta and national media arts scenes.
