Post Modern and Dystar Seeing 20/20 Post Modern and Dystar Seeing 20/20 Post Modern Editorial, Inc. and Dystar Television combined efforts to provide post production services for an ABC 20/20 segment "The Survivors" which aired nationally on May 17. The piece told the story of the people who survived the crash of ASA Flight 529 which went down outside Atlanta on August 21, 1995. The ill fated plane was scheduled to make a run from Atlanta to Gulfport, Mississippi.

After Dystar's Michael Curtis completed the Avid offline edit, Post Modern's senior editor, Andrew Satinoff took over in Post Modern's Avid Symphony for the on-line finish. The story was actually a test run for ABC. "We normally run our finished pieces at AVR 77" said 20/20 producer, Bert Rudman. "We decided to give Symphony a try to see if it could improve the on air picture quality. The output was gorgeous. I would happily conform on Symphony again." ABC correspondent Jay Schadler, Rudman, and Executive Producer Victor Neufeld told the story using a fiery re-enactment of the crash and rescue efforts, and interviews with the survivors.
