They Did WHAT With Our Presents? They Did WHAT With Our Presents? Lisa and Jeff Adler, Founders and Co-directors of one of Atlanta's most progressive theatres, have been named as recipients of the Lexus Leaders Of The Arts Award by Public Broadcasting Atlanta and Atlanta area Lexus dealers. The Adlers used donations given as wedding gifts to found Atlanta's Horizon Theatre. In its 15^th season presenting Atlanta or Southeastern premiers of contemporary plays by playwrights from around the world, the Adlers enjoy a commitment to producing works by southern, women, and minority playwrights. The Adlers have produced over 60 plays since 1983. This year, the Adlers present the first annual New South for the New Century Festival of Plays, featuring new plays about the South. In addition to mainstage productions, the Adlers introduce new artists and audiences to contemporary theatre through education programs including the Horizon Teen Ensemble, the Horizon Senior Citizens Ensemble, and the New Horizons Alternative Performance series.
