Crawford recently completed adding titling and special effects to scenes of the motion picture, My Brother the Pig. The special effects work began with Crawford transferring selected scenes from film to high definition video. After completing all of its special effects work in high definition, Crawford delivered a HD videotape as the final master. Crawford produced the HD tape for conversion back to film for Admit One Pictures in Santa Monica, California. Using Discreet Logic's HD alpha software, Tom Fulks, Crawford's Senior HD Effects Artist, created the opening titling, credits, subtitles, and special effects. Crawford's Senior HD Colorist, DC Cardinalli colored all the effects footage via the Spirit DataCine to match the look of the movie. My Brother The Pig is the story of the typical suburban, pre-teen brother and sister relationship. The movie's plot centers on the magical transformation of the boy into a pig and the corresponding changes in his relationships. My Brother the Pig was directed by Erik Fleming and stars Judge Reinhold.
Crawford recently delivered the first ever live broadcasts from remote Cumberland Island. Crawford's production and satellite services combined their capabilities to deliver broadcasts to fifteen television markets from the island located off the Georgia coast. The broadcasts were part of a satellite media tour featuring interior designer Mary Emmerling. The satellite media was sponsored by Country Inn Specialties to introduce a new breakfast cereal named after the famed Greyfield Inn on historic Cumberland Island. Auritt Communications Group, a television production company, commissioned Crawford's services for the broadcast. Crawford's production services and satellite services had to overcome the challenges associated with the island area. The facilities on the island can only accommodate a certain number of people and they had to be careful to not exceed the maximum weight limits of the barge they used to get to the island according to Bill Thompson, Crawford's Director of Production Services. The Kellogg Company called on Emmerling to announce their latest breakfast cereal. The live segment aired during morning shows from Canada to Central Florida and involved one of Crawford's satellite production trucks, two equipment trucks, a complete multi-camera system and a crew of ten, including three camera operators.
