Since relocating from the Woodruff Arts Center to the Fabulous Fox Theatre in 1995, the Atlanta Opera has experienced explosive growth and popularity. Its annual average attendance is now more than 35,000. In 1996, the company produced and performed two operas over its season. Last year that figure doubled to four, and a Sunday matinee has become part of the regular performance programming.
