Dallas Austin received the 1999 Visionary Award given by the Georgia Music Industry Association during the 21st Annual Georgia Music Festival Songwriters Showcase at Celebrity Rock Café. Sixteen original songs were showcased live and competed for $500 cash and prizes. Austin was presented with his award by Del Bryant, Senior Vice President, Publishing Writer/Relations, BMI and Jennie Walker, GMIA President.
