Oasis Goes To The Height Of The Sky Oasis Goes To The Height Of The Sky

Oasis Recording recently completed audio post production on The Height of the Sky, an independent full length feature film produced and directed by Lyn Clinton, a second cousin of President Clinton, and co-written by Lyn Clinton and Michael Harvkey. Based on a true story from the director's family and shot in Little Rock, AR, the two-hour drama depicts the hardships of family life on a 1930's homestead. The Height of the Sky was co-produced by Atlanta resident Demetrios Xenakis, who also served as the film's music supervisor. Together with Composer Boris Zelkin, who wrote an original musical score for the film, and Bob Gillespie, Sound Designer and Owner of Oasis Recording, the three managed to create a cohesive soundtrack that imparts passion and sensitivity to the characters in the film. Sound design also included a small amount of foley, but did not incorporate ADR (automatic dialogue replacement) in attempt to retain the original emotional continuity of the scenes. The Height of the Sky premiered at the Dances With Films Festival in Santa Monica, CA in July. A White House screening also took place in September.
