Pringle Dixon Pringle was selected as the public relations counsel of record for Daufuskie Island and Club Resort, located approximately one-mile off the coast of Hilton Head Island. In conjunction with its $22 million capital improvements program, DIC&R recently broke ground on The Island House, a new 16,000 square foot executive conference center. The $5 million facility is slated for completion in March 2000. It features wrap-around porches, low country architecture and is reminiscent of the "old south". The Island House will complement The Inn and will accommodate both large and small groups. The resort's two championship golf courses, the Jack Nicklaus-designed Melrose Course, and Bloody Point, designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, are also undergoing upgrades. Pringle Dixon Pringle is responsible for media relations and publicity specific to the resort as a whole, as well as grand opening activities for The Island House. Pringle Dixon Pringle also assisted with the recent opening of the new Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, MS.
