Video Tape Associates recently hosted Johnnie Cochran and his Court TV talk show "Johnnie Cochran Tonight." Cochran hosted his live show at VTA studios, talking to lawyers, newsmakers, and public opinion makers from around the country. VTA's production staff included Technical Director Fong Dong and Cameraperson Tom Rice. Donna Martin provided makeup and Diane Dover handled teleprompter. VTA has been a long-time associate of Court TV, providing live shots and other technical services such as fiber optic feeds for this cable channel.
Scharbo & Company selected Video Tape Associates to handle the post production for the ‘Big Haired Lady' LongHorn Steakhouse spots. The ingenuity of the character that Ron and Sarah Scharbo have developed has made the spot a favorite of audiences. Sarah Scharbo portrays the "Big-Haired Lady" in the spots. Scharbo chose Atlanta Editor Paul Miller. Don Chambers was the Director of the most recent spot, and Susan Hayes directed several other spots in the series. Susan Dugan was the Broadcast Producer. The new spot VTA just completed is called "Texas Gulf Roundup," a seafood promotion; another popular spot is "Dirty Bird".
VTA has been the post production anchor this summer for powerboat racing's 1999 Laughlin Formula One P.R.O.P. Tour, produced by Ritch Vogan and his company, Atlanta Teleproductions for air on the ESPN2 cable show "SpeedWorld." VTA Editor Bob Castro recently edited the news package for Belgian Televison of the Belgian crown prince's visit to Atlanta. The prince was in Atlanta to sign a multi-million dollar contract at the offices of Barco, a computer display manufacturer, to produce advanced display products for the Belgian government. Castro prepared the news package for later uplink to Belgium.
