Shay Bentley-Griffin from The Chez Group and Griffin Seals Entertainment was nominated for an Emmy for her casting on HBO's "A Lesson Before Dying". The project received seven nominations including: Robi Reed-Humes for outstanding casting; Joe Sargent for outstanding directing for a miniseries or a movie; and Don Cheadle for outstanding lead actor in a miniseries or movie. Another nomination was received as well for Outstanding Made for Television Movie. Griffin has also been nominated for the Casting Society of America's Artios Award for Outstanding Achievement in Mini Series Casting along with Reuben Cannon for their work on "Mama Flora's Family". Griffin was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Dramatic Pilot Casting along with Judith Holstra for their work on Lifetime's hit television series "Any Day Now". Griffin is responsible for casting over 200 projects throughout the Southeast. Griffin has also received recognition from Senator Max Cleland and former Governor Zell Miller for her extensive work in the Georgia film community. Griffin has launched a new division of her company to handle film production. She is presently working on a project that began filming in the fall.
