AIGA Lends Its Art to the Community AIGA Lends Its Art to the Community
The Atlanta Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) elected six new board members: Ash Arnett, Merge Design; Andrea Baron, Randstad Staffing Services; Alexis Horlbeck, Voyage Communications; Heather Mihalic, Clarion Marketing and Communications; Liz Throop, Georgia State University, and Kathleen Turaski, Wise Design. Among AIGA's cultural contributions is Poetry in Motion, a national literacy project. Poems chosen from a wide range of cultural backgrounds are mounted on subways and buses. AIGA/Atlanta participates in this community awareness project by incorporating the design interpretations of 24 Atlanta design studios with 24 distinct poems.
