Southern Fried Guillotine Southern Fried Guillotine

Guillotine Post continues to help Turner South serve up its slice of southern style television. The folks at Guillotine collaborated on a number of projects with Turner producers Caroline Young and Bill Taft. Senior Editor Michael Koepenick worked with Young for Live from The Bluebird Café, Turner’s original weekly songwriter based performance show. Editors PJ Neely and Jimmy Milans tag teamed for Taft on a Mayberry RFD programming marathon scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday called The Goober Bowl. Investigators are now trying to determine exactly how many times Neely and Milans have had to tell a close relative that they really do have a job . . .

Turner Classic Movies producer Kelli Christiansen worked with Koepenick editing a contest promo calling for young composers to submit entries to win a chance to score a classic silent film. The contest is sponsored in part by MP3 and Film Music Magazine. Christiansen and Koepenick also finished spots for an upcoming Rod Steiger movie special.

Guillotine has also helped spotlight Black History Month on Turner South. Young and Koepenick cut promos for a special on Director Gordon Parks as well as screenings of Shaft and three other films from the director. Producer Bill Taft also posted spots for The Trumpet Awards with Editor Jimmy Milans.

BlueMarbleMedia brought in a package for Glaxo/Wellcome’s Valtrex product. Editor’s Fred Duffer and Milans put together the three heavily layered videos for the new campaign. BlueMarbleMedia Producer Kathy Marker and Editor Christo Harris created marketing videos for service industry software innovators iMedeon and communications giant Nortel Networks. Harris also worked with Mountain View Productions Producer Melissa Goehring, and Producers Carol Beck and Marci Savell on a series of highlight reels for General Electric. Christo also handled several jobs for Aspen Productions and Delta Air Lines. Atlanta PGI Writer/Producer Cecil Sharp also returned to work with editor Fred Duffer on projects for Coca-Cola and BellSouth.
