The Atlanta Office of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide recently promoted and hired several new staff members. These additions and its ability to retain its current staff members means that the PR firm was able to more than double its staff in 1999. These staff members were recently promoted:

Heidi Umbhau was promoted to Senior Account Supervisor of Edelman’s media specialist division. She is also responsible for supervising Edlemans’ Home Office Network. John Walker was promoted to Account Supervisor of the technology practice. Lauren Sullivan was promoted to Account Executive of the consumer marketing team. She will primarily work on the Eckerd Corporation’s "Salute to Women" annual program. Derek Hughes was promoted to Assistant Account Executive of the technology practice. Angela Richmond was promoted to Assistant Account Executive of the consumer marketing practice and Bill Steers was promoted to Assistant Account Executive of the business to business practice. Nuru Mugambi was promoted to Marketing Coordinator and Danielle Smith was promoted to Business Manager.

Edelman has also recently hired several new staff members. These include, Warren Wilkinson as Senior Vice President of Edelman’s reputation management practice. He comes from Mesaba Airlines where he served as Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications. Nancy Burton joined Edelman’s media specialist division as a Senior Accont Executive; she comes from CNN International. Tonja Lecklitner joined the media specialist division as a Senior Account Executive; she comes from WXII/NBC affiliate in Winston-Salem, NC. Sonia Hofer joined Edelman as Account Executive with the consumer marketing practice. Paige Hoover joined the business to business practice as an Account Executive. Laura Cobb joined the reputation management practice as an Assistant Account Executive; she comes from Delta Air Lines’ corporate communications department.
