Engineered Multimedia, Inc., the five year old science and engineering multimedia development company, recently wrapped up $500,000 in new funding for marketing, research, and development. EMI was founded by Georgia Tech graduate Rob Abbanat and Georgia Tech Professor of Aerospace Engineering, Kurt Grammell. The 20 person company specializes in creating web based sales, marketing, and training solutions for complex engineering subject matter. EMI’s new investors are Imlay Investments, Synchrologic CEO, Said Mohammadioun and Atlanta Investors Bill Hennegan and John Pregulman.

EMI has also had several recent hires. They include: new Marketing Manager Dana Groves, formerly of The Beck Group; Jim Compton, Production Director; Chris Savas, Project Manager; Jason Alexander, 3d Animator; Mike Boutin, Senior Web Developer; Michael Bradford, Content Designer; Eric Sigel, System Administrator; and Brad Taylor and Hans Mathre, Graphic Artists.
