WHOA! Is Center of Universe WHOA! Is Center of Universe
The good folks at WHOA! Films, Inc. in Decatur have been keeping busy, proving once and for all that Decatur really is the center of the universe. For example, WHOA! Films, Maverick Communications, and Cartoon Network joined forces to create a New York annual in house marketing event for advertising sales. Maverick producers, Lydia Anderson and Ellen Bernard teamed Cartoon Network’s Mary Rutt, Tom Alexander, Todd Fedell, Beth Haden, and Katy Melkonian with WHOA!’s editors Bill Orisich and Jon Philpot to create a simultaneous visual rhythm of five screens telling a tale about the popularity of the Cartoon Network titled “Upfront Presentation.” Guest Producer Brian Tolleson of Naked Eye created “Upfront Live” as part of the show. The Cartoon Network’s Joe Uva and Betty Cohen narrated the entire show.
Ken Young, Vice President and Creative Director of Pratt&Buehl, stopped in for a quick turn around spot of Chick-fil-A’s Charity Championship. Editor Philpot spliced and diced the spot while FLINT operator Adrian Goedin on-lined the green.
Kragie Newell’s Roger Grote, Tom Leach, and Jo Gipson brought NAPA to WHOA! for several in house quarterly sales and marketing strategy reports. Assimilated into the “Larry King Live” show, the reports consist of department heads informing retail stores of future plans and sales ideas. WHOA!’s Bill Orisich, DP and Editor; Kris Johnson, Production Coordinator; and Kevin Sargent, Producer; were located at NAPA headquarters for the shoot.
Finally, WHOA!’s very own graphic artist, Brad Mace, made the front cover of the April edition of AV Video Multimedia Producer Magazine. Egggcellent!!!
