While most of us were “slip sliding away” during the first of two ice storms in January, the folks at Synergy Films were in Puerto Rico shooting a national commercial spot for a New York agency. The spot promoting a new Dexatrim product used local rain forests and beaches in and around San Juan.
After returning to Atlanta (likely relaxed and tan), the crew of 30 spent five days shooting footage at Lenox Square and San Genera restaurant, in local homes, on the street, and at PC&E’s sound stage for Los Angeles agency DFI. The spots incorporated inner-cut CGI to cell animation and involved talent from Los Angeles, Miami, and Atlanta.
Synergy created ten spots by mid-February for products including Dexatrim, Gold Bond Body Lotion and Foot Powder, NewPhase herbal menopause supplement, Pamprin, and Omnigest EZ, an herbal digestive ad.
Synergy is also now representing award winning Director/Cameraman Jon Hill. He recently took home two silver awards in the 2000 Summit Creative Awards’ international competition for his Atlanta History Center George Washington Exhibit, “Corn on the Cob,” and Dixie Beer, “Drinkin’ It” spots. The creative team at Huey Paprocki, Ltd. created “Corn on the Cob.” New York Art Directors Zach Watkins and David Paprocki, now of Weiss-Stagliano, were the creative forces behind “Drinkin’ It.”
