The American Electronics Association (AEA) announced in March the creation of the Technology Leadership Coalition (TLC) to educate state policy makers and leaders about Georgia’s growing high-tech industry. News of the coalition came March 9 during AEA’s High-Tech Day under the Gold Dome. Techies mingled with bureaucrats and shared products and information, hoping to win political support and make the state more tech-oriented. Founding members of TLC area who’s-who of microchipdom: Microsoft, AT&T, Mapics, Navision Software, Metcam, Solectron, and Internet Security Systems. The AEA is the nation’s largest high-tech trade group, representing more than 3,000 U.S. companies.
