Composer and Decatur resident Susan Ottzen earned top honors in National Public Radio’s “What’s Your Score” music contest for its “Marketplace” program. Ottzen, one of four national winners, arranged the classic “Stormy Weather” as a waltz. Ottzen’s arrangement will be played during the program when the stock market has dropped, and the stock market numbers are being read for the day.

Ottzen is a harpist, former member of the Atlanta Symphony, and owner of Susan Ottzen Music. She is currently composing for thee documentary “The Chattahoochee River: Muddied Waters/Clear Solutions” for Burst Video/Film.
