Atlanta based iXL spin-off FootageNow recently hired Damian P. Riordan as its Senior Vice-President of Business Development. FootageNow is positioning itself as a business-to-business broadband media company.
Riordan comes to FootageNow with more than 14-years experience in the media and entertainment industry. Prior to joining FootageNow, Riordan was the Senior Vice President of Time Warner’s Telepictures Distribution. Riordan built the syndication division and oversaw the sales and marketing process for such programming as ER and the National Geographic series as well as Warner Brothers film packages. He will be responsible for FootageNow’s strategic relationships with leading media and entertainment companies, including major studios, broadcast groups, cable networks, advertising agencies, and publishing companies.

FootageNow recently merged with Second Line Search (SLS), the world’s largest rights, clearance, and licensing company, and the umbrella company for a family of moving image providers that include: Hot Shots Cool Cuts, Action Sports Adventure, Film Bank LA, and Film Bank Deutschland. The new company will be called FootageNow and will have offices in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Germany and representative offices in France, Sweden, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Japan, Mexico, and Brazil. The new FootageNow boasts an impressive list of advertising, motion picture, network, and corporate clients. Recent projects include collaborations with industry heavyweights such as AT&T, Budweiser, McDonald’s, Mercedes, Nike, Banana Republic, as well as E-Trade, Encyclopedia Britannica, Colliers, World Book, Time Magazine, The Gap, UPS, NBC, and HBO.
