Point of Vision Design Group has just launched a new brand for Worldspan. The new corporate identity is designed to herald the beginning of a new era in which it plans to communicate and execute: electronic commerce, global distribution systems, and airline/travel supplier services.
Upon arriving at work one day in April, all 3,100 Worldspan employees worldwide were welcomed with a portable cooler stuffed with a T-shirt, travel mug, and other premium gifts, each emblazoned with the new company logo. They switched on their computers to find an animated greeting that introduced the new identity with dramatic flair.
The launch of Worldspan’s new visual brand to its employees and clients was accompanied by key new additions to the company’s executive staff, as well as several organizational changes to support strategic objectives. Worldspan provides global electronic distribution of travel information, Internet products, and connectivity; as well as electronic commerce capabilities for travel agencies, travel service providers, and corporations worldwide.
