WHOA! Now That’s a Full Plate! WHOA! Now That’s a Full Plate!
The good folks at WHOA! Films, Inc. have been busy. Very busy. Here is a run-down of their recent projects.
WHOA! Films and Cartoon Network joined forces to create an in house marketing video for advertising sales. Cartoon Network’s Mary Rutt, Tom Alexander, Todd Fedell, Beth Haden, and Katy Melkonian collaborate with WHOA!’s editors Bill Orisich and Jon Philpot to create a simultaneous visual rhythm of five screens telling a tale about the popularity of Cartoon Network. Narrated by Cartoon Network’s Joe Uva and Betty Cohen, the story involves various cuts of all shows including Cartoon Cartoon, Toonami, and the classic shows.
Naked Eye’s Brian Tolleson produces two Cartoon Network promo spots with WHOA!’s editor Philpot for the Power Puff Girls, “Smash Tennis” and “Sizzle.” Philpot cut action shots with music while WHOA!’s FLINT artist Adrian Guedin on-lined the spots.
J. Walter Thompson Art Director Kirk Sieder and Creative Supervisor Loy Franklin joined WHOA! in Decatur to churn out 10 commercials in a mere three days. WHOA!’s Orisich, DP and Editor, highlighted a diverse area of Atlanta while Guedin on-lined the various spots to be aired in all areas of Georgia. L.A. Producer Mike Miles and WHOA!’s Production Coordinator Kris Johnson organized a full three days of fishing, camping, playing softball, washing cars, and having a good ol’ time in the South.
Ken Young of Pratt & Buehl stopped in for a quick turn around spot of Chick-fil-A’s Charity Championship. The 2000 charity golf tournament features Nancy Lopez at the Eagle’s Landing Golf Course. WHOA!’s editor Philpot spliced and diced the spot while FLINT operator Guedin on-lined the green.
Mark Johnson Productions brings Cryovac to WHOA! Films for an industrial video to promote meat packaging. Producer Jim Sedlak and WHOA!’s Philpot pieced the meat with the packaging to make a successful video of how it all began and the technology of the packaging system now.
Kragie Newell’s Jo Gipson, Roger Grote and Tom Leach bring NAPA to WHOA! for several in house quarterly sales and marketing strategy reports. Assimilated like the Larry King Live show, the reports consist of department heads informing retail stores of future plans and sales ideas. WHOA!’s Orisich, DP and Editor, Johnson, Production Coordinator, and Kevin Sargent, Producer, were located at NAPA headquarters for the shoot.
WHOA!’s very own graphic artist, Brad Mace, has made the front cover of AV Videography magazine. Talents, brains, and height have been noticed by others in the industry, particularly Bob Becker of Becker Multimedia. Mace’s talents of 2-D art work and 3-D animation has kept Becker returning for more.
