The Headline Group’s Tucker Leads Atlanta The Headline Group’s Tucker Leads Atlanta
The Headline Group’s Vice President Patty Tucker has been inducted into Leadership Atlanta for her leadership and record of community involvement. Chosen from a group of almost 300 people, Tucker has been with The Headline Group (THG) for 13 years. Being a member of Leadership Atlanta means attending retreats, classes, and programs focused on areas of community service such as criminal justice, transportation, education, and race relations. Tucker’s resume also includes the Ad Club’s stamp for “Outstanding Young Professional” (1993) and the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s mark for one of Atlanta’s best account and promotions persons.
THG realizes the two elements of a successful campaign: prestige and praise both for client and company. The four member Philips Arena Public Relations Team was named winner of the one of the highest awards of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Awards. The team of Claudia Gaines Patton, Mary Eitel, Lisa Bigazzi, and Nicholas Wolaver managed the national special events project for Philips Arena, a client since 1997. Their success translated into 400 print placements in media outlets and eight subsequent hours of broadcast airtime. Between January and September of 1999, THG worked with Philips Arena to highlight construction milestones, create special events and media tours of the building, introduce key staff to the public and industry peers, and organize an open house which attracted more than 55,000 people opening weekend.
Winning another client is equal to winning another award, especially when the new client is one of the biggest names in Atlanta’s business world. iXL, Inc. has chosen the agency for their public relations counsel. The task for the headliners is to promote brand awareness of the company’s Atlanta offices. Of its 23 offices around the world, iXL’s Atlanta location garners the largest revenue and employee base. THG also helped to rollout iXL’s broadband media spin off, FootageNow, Inc.
