No Go Slow for Whoa! No Go Slow for Whoa!

Whoa! Films and Clarion Marketing & Communications created a supercharged video for the UPS Executive Cyber Cafe, at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. The fast paced, music driven piece will play on monitors outside the Cafe to entice visitors to enter. Editor Jon Philpot, Clarion VP/Creative Director Peter Borowski, and Account Executive Cris Santini worked on the show whose spirit mimics the energetic pace of the Olympic events.

Whoa’s Bill Orisich directed, DP’ed, and edited a PSA for the Big Oak Ranch Children’s Home in Birmingham. The ranch, founded in 1975 by John Croyle, is a privately funded haven for abused and abandoned children. Two spots to run in Alabama were created to commemorate the Ranch’s 25th anniversary using the historical gardens at the Atlanta History Center’s Swan Coach House as the location. Bill was assisted by Producer Cindy Cloyd of Cindy Cloyd Productions, Executive Producer/Associate Creative Director Joellyn Beckham of Thinktank and Creative Director Randall Snook of FitzMartin, Inc., all of Birmingham. Cloyd assembled a crack Atlanta crew which included Linda Spears, audio; Billy Sherril; Key Grip; Marivee Cade, Gaffer; Norman Andrews, Asst. Camera; Danny Maughon, locations; and Shauntelle Langston, makeup. The soundtrack is taken from the “Live from a Shark Cage” CD by Papa M.

Senior Writer/Producer for the Cartoon Network enlisted Whoa! Avid Editor Philpot to create a presentation piece with AOL execs in mind. The spot which conveys the network’s scope and programming, featured the animated Johnny Bravo.

And yet another bravo, this time for Heavenly Ham. Bigelow & Eigel Vice President, Mary Roberts must have been pleased with Whoa!’s work. Whoa! recently completed a return shoot for the ham bakery. Director Orisich, SOFTIMAGE Animator Brad Mace, and Adrian Guedin who touched up the three :15 spots, made that ham look heavenly. Continuing on, Whoa! followed up with the Cartoon Network on their “Fridays on Tour “ promo spot. Orisich edited; Philpot edited the Secondary Audio Protocol with Rutt enabling bilingual viewers to listen to the shows in Spanish or English with the flip of a finger (remote control). Jimmy Hamiter of Cartoon Network worked on a promo spot with Philpot encouraging collaboration between the network and E-Bay to sell antique boomerang memorabilia.

Pratt & Buehl’s Creative Director Ken Young and Graphic Designer Connie Hartmann worked with Whoa! on a shoot for a freight consolidation firm, Transportal. Orisich shot on 16mm and matched it to Philpot’s original score of bass, samples, vocal and arrangements of a host of musicians: John Morrison, drums; Krispin Harker, hand drums; Jason Sneath, trumpet and Ben Davis on the sexy saxophone.
