This Soundbyte Lasts Longer This Soundbyte Lasts Longer
After its first year of operation, Soundbyte is looking good. It is gearing up for its second year, a good sign for any new business. And it’s doing it in style. Soundbyte recently relocated from its Buckhead location to a boutique style condominium in Midtown, just a half block walk from Piedmont Park at 1168 14th Place, Atlanta 30309. The company provides original music, sound design, and audio post production for television, radio, and corporate needs.
Owner, John Roberts has been thinking about more than the interior decoration of his new office. He has been busy making music with TNT. Roberts recently scored and mixed custom music for the “Don Quixote” and “Nuremberg” trailers. Both tracks are orchestral arrangements which use many live Atlantan musicians. Currently, Roberts is scoring several episodes of the highly popular MTV series, Real World filmming in London and scheduled to run next spring.
On the corporate front, Roberts completed music and sound design for three of J. Walter Thompson’s Ford campaigns. The spots will be aired in the Carolinas, Baltimore and Washington D.C. and feature a variety of musical styles including alternative rock, new country, Dixieland Jazz, Cajun, Classical and Hip Hop. He has also joined the world of cartoons, scoring music and sweetening promos for “The Making of Scooby Doo and the Alien Invaders” and “Batman Beyond” in cooperation with The Scott Benson Company for Warner Brothers.
