Atlanta Celebrates Art, Love, Death Atlanta Celebrates Art, Love, Death

The second annual Atlanta Celebrates Photography, a month long ceremony for fine arts, will present acclaimed photographers, Jerry Uelsmann and Duane Michals as headliners for the fall lecture series. Uelsmann is known for his images created with a digital computer wherein reality and fantasy commingle. His lecture scheduled for September 28, 7 p.m. at the Rich Auditorium, Woodruff Arts Center will examine the creative process. Michals’ provocative, humorous, cinematic photographs explore the themes of love and death. He will speak on October 19 at 7 p.m. also at Rich Auditorium. Lectures are open to the public.

If you miss these and you’re in the betting mood, you can also catch a party and silent auction at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center on October 14. Aspiring or working photographers may attend the portfolio review day on October 21. The time and location of this event is to be announced.
