Gershwin Plays Second Fiddle to Horst Gershwin Plays Second Fiddle to Horst

Composer, Eddie Horst premiered his new symphonic work, “Etherikos Fantasia” with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at Piedmont Park. Other composers were featured including Dvorak, Gershwin, Rossini, Borodin and Mancini. Other big news for Horst is his move to the new Crawford facility on Pleasantdale Road where he will have his own recording booth and a room devoted to audio and video editing. Horst can’t move in to the Crawford house without new gear. He recently purchased a new digital video system which will be used in conjunction with Apple’s Final Cut Pro.

Horst also recently wrote an orchestral arrangement for the title track of the new Kelly Price CD, “Mirror Mirror.” And alongside Smokey Robinson, Vhonda Shepard (“Ally McBeal’s” tortured lounge singer), Boys II Men, and Lace (the Canadian “Dixie Chicks”), Horst helped with a internal promotion campaign for Hardee’s. He wrote a theme song for the hamburger helper, “We are Hardee’s.” Horst continues to write for the Turner South Network and has started work on a new series of “The Brak Show” for Cartoon Network.
