DigiTango, a subsidiary of Laser Tech Color (LTC) was recently closed due to low sales. LTC asserts that their initial brand is strong and that no capabilities have been lost. LTC bought the DigiTango name from a photographer in St. Louis. The pre-media company added DigiTango to handle high end illustration retouching which mimicked their own division, Liquid Pictures and coexisted with the third division, Liquid Graphics. Managing Director Jeff Evanston said many people confused LTC’s photo capabilities with DigiTango. The two photographers employed by LTC were never a part of that subsidiary. The remaining of the six people employed by DigiTango were invited to relocate to the DigiTango office in San Francisco.
