Leader Acquires Leaders Leader Acquires Leaders
The Leader Publishing Group, Inc. (LPGI) enlisted Howard J. Lalli as Editorial Director for the company. Lalli will oversee development and growth of editorial content for Business To Business (B2B) and Catalyst magazines and the Custom Publications Division. Lalli came to Atlanta a year ago to serve as Executive Editor of Atlanta Magazine, on the heels of his role in the successful launch of Talk, the national magazine led by Tina Brown. His career has led him from national magazines, Vanity Fair and The New Yorker to local and regional publications and back again.
Three Leader employees have taken a step up the company’s ladder. Walter Woods has been promoted to Managing Editor for B2B. Margaret Clark has been promoted to Associate Publisher of B2B. Clark first joined LPGI to help launch Catalyst as a Senior Account Executive. Garret Heaberlin will take on the role of Associate Publisher, Catalyst magazine. He joined LPGI in April as Advertising Director for both magazines.
Leader has recruited a number of people from the outside for their management team. Sean McGinnis has been hired as Vice President and Group Publisher. Before joining Leader, McGinnis spent 10 years with New York based Bill Communications, Inc. as Group Publisher of the company’s apparel and sporting goods publications and supervised the groups’ ancillary products. Carla Harris will join as Publisher of LPG2. She will oversee publications for clients such as Jenny Pruitt & Associates Realtors, Hammermill Papers, and Piedmont Hospital. Her background includes marketing and communications positions for companies such as Sabre, Talus and American Airlines.
