If it Looks Like a Dinosaur and It Walks Like a Dinosaur... If it Looks Like a Dinosaur and It Walks Like a Dinosaur...

If it is true that imitation is the highest form of flattery, this may be a story of long overdue compliments. Avrum Fine, a semi-retired motion picture editor, designed a movie poster in the early ‘70s for a B movie. That of course, is not the whole story. Fine’s image has been invoked some decades later. The 61 year old, now living in Lawrenceville, created the concept for the poster displaying a single, scaly alligator eye for “Joe Panther vs. the Monster of Gator Swamp” pictured in the Wall Street Journal who covered the story. In the center of the magnified eye is the reflection of the movie’s protagonist. Very similar to the current poster for Disney’s new movie, “Dinosaur.” Very similar. Very interesting.
