Powell & Associates looked at their high tech market in Atlanta and decided to make some changes. On February 1, the company formed an e-design co-company, Powell Digital. They weren’t done yet. In May, both companies relocated from their home in Newnan to the newly renovated Southern Dairies Building on North Avenue. Relocation has had some positive effects on the business; revenues are at the highest level since the company started in 1986.
Powell Digital’s mission, in addition to answering the e-design needs involved in brand development programs, is to offer stand alone, web site, and CD-ROM development and in effect, to be a separate profit center for its parent company. The new company announced its first independent project in June: a web site for the European furniture store, Domus International.
