Turner Turns to the Homeless Turner Turns to the Homeless
On a pitifully hot day in August, 40 employees of Turner Broadcasting Company put their construction hats on. Their charge was to construct a storage shed for homeless men at the Atlanta Union Mission. The project was completed in six and a half hours while preparation took six months. Project Manager, Jodi Migdon and her coworkers from the Corporate Accounting and Corporate Planning and Reporting Departments began the project by applying for a grant from Time Warner. The Time Warner Foundation awards the grant twice a year to any full time employees with prior team volunteering experience and a clear idea of future volunteer projects.
