Film Captive’s Twilight Zone Film Captive’s Twilight Zone
Film Captive Productions (FCP) wanted to make a corporate video unlike most corporate videos for client, Custom Printing Services (CPS) of Buckhead and Northlake. Director/DP Sylvia Jackson developed and wrote the concept. Shot entirely in the Northlake facility, Jackson’s vision was a quasi-comical Twilight Zone scenario. She mixed color and black and white footage together with a character recalling Rod Serling, played by local actor, Jeffrey Charlton, who led the audience through a peculiar tour of the company.
CPS loved the concept and the results and decided to go with a short film rather than a corporate video. Original variations on the “Twilight Zone” and “Halloween” movie theme music were on the video soundtrack. Josh Pitlick of Starvin’ Artist provided Steadicam and Jib arm equipment and operation, while Jabez Maurer served as gaffer. The project was posted at Mind’s Eye Media and edited by Armando Barker.
Jackson also recently completed Director of Photography duties on the local feature, “Groupies.” Directed by Fred Dresch, the movie centers on a romance between a reporter and a celebrity and stars local actors, Chrystale Wilson of “The Player’s Club,” Bill Nunn of “Substitute 4” and “He Got Game” as well as local rap artist Gipp of the Goodie Mobb.
