MATCH Lifts and Separates MATCH Lifts and Separates
MATCH, Inc. was selected as agency of record for Vanity Fair Intimates, a division of VF Corp. In the final series, MATCH was chosen over co-finalist Huey/Paprocki. The account had formerly been with The Martin Agency in Richmond, VA, which did not participate in the review. “We feel we have a very personal relationship with our target consumer,” said Beverley Guyer, VF’s Director of Marketing. “We needed an agency with a track record of being able to speak to women with respect and intelligence, and that agency is MATCH.”
MATCH will be responsible for the brand’s advertising creative. With Vanity’s success in the “Body Sculpting introduction” and two major launches forecasted for 2001, the company has increased its expenditures in print advertising. Agency Principal, B.A. Albert said, “Vanity Fair is the kind of client we were looking for when we opened MATCH. A well known national brand run by people who value smart creative.”
MATCH has added another smart creative mind to their round table. Sal Kibler has been appointed President. Over the past year, Kibler has worked with the team on the State of Georgia Yamacraw and Vanity Fair accounts. After making the relationship an official one, Albert, who worked alongside Kibler at Burton Campbell in the late 70s, said, “Sal’s experience at growing both a big agency and her own company is exactly what we need to take us to the next level. She is a true leader and a believer in creative.”
A 24 year veteran of the ad business, Kibler has partnered with husband Brad in her most recent venture, Whole Brain Marketing. Mr. Kibler will continue to handle the database management and direct mail marketing side of Whole Brain.
Kibler’s vast resume also includes stints as Executive Vice President/General Manager with Youngblood Sweat & Tears and Vice President/Management Supervisor at Fitzgerald+CO. “It feels very natural to join MATCH. It’s a great opportunity to continue to work with people and a culture I already know and enjoy and to help build a business,” Kibler said.
