APC Studios recently completed design on the enhanced CD portion of WNNX’s Live X 6 CD, “Walk Unafraid.” Assembling artists who have performed within the year for a Live X, the project has become an annual event for the station. Live X shows are recorded at a variety of local venues and attended by a limited number of contest winners. Compilation CDs are sold to benefit charities chosen by the station and performing artists. This year, Michael Stipe of REM fame chose the Georgia Litigation Project and Georgia Equality Project as recipients of the sixth Live X CD. The multi-talented Stipe donated a recording, as well as artwork for the cover and photo gallery.

With this year’s CD, 99X’s Leslie Fram and Chris Williams wanted something more interactive. APC Studios developed the interactive enhancement 99X was looking for, completing the project in six weeks. Christopher Connor, Senior Designer at APC, used Stipes’ artwork as the foundation for the interface’s fluid look and feel. Live shots of the performances complemented the interactive portion.

Christopher Connor, a new addition to APC will direct their creative design group, Holovision. Previously, Connor worked as an independent Producer, Animator, Multimedia Designer, and Editor. An Atlanta native, Connor is a graduate of the American Intercontinental University.
