Magick Lantern recently worked with ABC Sports to create a national on-air package for the……..drum roll please…..Georgia Tech vs. Florida State game. Producer Scott McGrath and Editor Fred Duffer worked with the AVID symphony’s ICE Suite to create some sizzling effects for the already inflamed game. The results will appear on ABC Sports throughout the season.

On the features side of things, Magick has been working with Green Valley Entertainment and Director, Michael Valverde on his independent film, “Losing Grace.” From the first shot, Bazyl Dripps worked on Magick’s AVID Film Composer to ready the film for its presentation at the Sundance Film Festival early this fall. Symphony Editor, Jesenko Fazlagic worked on the title sequence and online conform. Audio mixing, conforming, ADR, and DVD production were all completed on Magick’s turf. Valverde said, “During my days producing commercials, I’d been a regular at Magick. They have that rare combination of talent, technology, and a great atmosphere that really contributed to the making of this film.”

Magick’s atmosphere grows with the addition of Digital Artist, Claudia Yi Leon. Yi Leon will work with the G4 design suite, designing projects for video and the web. Beyond designing Magick’s new website, she has also completed projects for Freebairn & Company, ABC Sports, eyewonder.com, and Little Mammoth Media. Yi Leon hails from San Francisco and graduated from Berkeley. She has a Masters in Multimedia from Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining Magick, Yi Leon worked in Atlanta creating websites and videos for educational and new media companies.
