Crawford Post Production and Crawford Audio captured seven awards at the 2000 Georgia VidFest sponsored by the Media Communications Association International (formerly the International Television Association, or ITVA). Tom Fulks, one of the golden recipients, edited three TV spots for the “University of Colorado Hospital” (animation and graphics category). Crawford handled all editorial, effects compositing, audio playback, and graphic design. Fulks used the Discreet Logic fire/inferno resolution online conform system to edit the spots. An award winning Senior Effects Artist/Compositor,Fulks has been on the Crawford team since 1994.
Greg Crawford won a gold for the team for a promotional spot for JWM Productions and their clients, Reader’s Digest Television. Crawford provided high definition film transfer and editorial, sound design, 5.1 surround sound mixing, and graphic design. A Senior Sound Designer, Composer, and Audio Engineer, Crawford has been with the company for 14 years.He recently won another gold award for his work at the International Imaging and Sound (ITS) 2000 Forum in Los Angeles.
A silver went to “Treasure Seekers,”13 one hour documentaries co-produced by Crawford Communications and JWM Productions for National Geographic Television. Crawford provided high definition film transfer and editorial, sound design, audio mixing, and computer graphics including 3-D animation. Editor on the project, Jim Bowhall has been with Crawford for six years. Sound Designer/Audio Engineer, John Thobois has been with Crawford since 1993.
