The winter brought many to 11th Street Communications. Russ Ensley and James Rowe of UPS escaped the cold, working with 11th Street’s audio team on their ITVA VidFest award winning productions, “Ray Dunmeyer-Seeing is Believing” and “Picture This.” Producers Susan Kanellos of Blue Moon Productions and Pito Monteagudo of Creativision visited 11th Street to create a meeting open and video program for Clarus’ annual conference. Artifact’s Ken Virgins supplied 3D animation for the video. Engineer Tom Race and Editor Phil Danserau created the multi screen presentation in virtual surround sound.
CNN-E called on Senior Editor/Compositor Bob Woodhead to create promos. Cartoon Network stopped by to create a pilot for the first spin off from “Space Ghost” with Producers Pete Smith and Jim Fortier. Turner Classic Movies’ Bill Goodman produced interstitial pieces on Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” with Editor Phil Danserau on AVID.
Another pair of shoes will become regulars at the studios. 11th Street welcomed a new member to the team – Jim McKnight, formerly Senior Audio Engineer at Catspaw. 11th Street also did some internal reorganization. In February, Synchronized Sound, 11th Street Post and 11th Street Interactive merged under one name, 11th Street Communications. The three companies have grown over the years while the industries they serve became further intertwined. Because the three have already>th Street decided it only fit that they become one entity. President James Klotz said, “By combining the companies, it will allow us to operate more efficiently, economically, and better serve our clients.” Facilities, services, and staff will remain the same. The website will be updated to match the company’s new printed material and stationary.
